Describe Image tips (Toughest yet easiest)
Describe image is the most easiest task in speaking but most of the aspirants find it difficult because they take content too seriously in this.
We mainly have bar-graphs, line graphs, pie charts, images, tables or combination of these that we need to describe in our own language, that's easy isn't it? But I have seen people getting confused by the numbers/years/quantities/ages as they focus on these figures only hence they loose marks in speaking.
I would strongly recommend you NOT TO FOCUS on content in THIS task and SPEAK FOR COMPLETE 40 Seconds no matter you complete your sentence or not and DON'T CLICK NEXT BUTTON.
Lets take few examples from real exam:
The graph shows the (Electricity generation in China by Type) (from year 1994 to 2004). We have two types, Conventional Thermal and Hydroelectric. In 2004 Conventional energy is around 1500, hydroelectric is around 2000. Speak another fact or just say Source of information is EIA International Energy Annual. In conclusion, this graph shows electricity generation in China.
Another one:
This image shows approximate areas of rubbish soup. We have two different patches, Eastern rubbish patch and Western Rubbish patch. Eastern rubbish patch is on the left side and western rubbish patch is on the right side. Eastern rubbish patch is near Japan and western is near Canada. In conclusion, both are near pacific Ocean.
Last one :
This graph shows probability of Depression on the basis of age. Depression is less in starting age and ending age, but it is more in around forties. Probability of depression first increases then decreases. In Conclusion, depression which is very dangerous depends on age.
So the idea here is to not to focus on details if we start focusing on details then we will loose Oral fluency which will cost you speaking score. If you speak like written above fluently, you will get full marks in DI.
